Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sea salt
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 hamburger buns
4 slices tomato
Optional: ketchup, mustard, pickles, onion, mayonnaise, etc.

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, thyme, black pepper, and sea salt. Mix together until combined.
3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties.
4. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20 minutes.
5. Remove the patties from the oven and top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese. Return to the oven for another 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Toast the hamburger buns in the oven or on the stovetop.
7. Assemble the burgers by adding the cooked patty, tomato slice, and any desired condiments. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Notes

If you don’t have all of the herbs and spices listed in the ingredients, you can substitute with a combination of other herbs and spices that you do have. You can also add other ingredients such as diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, or a beaten egg. If you don’t have cheddar cheese, you can use any type of cheese that you like.
