Description
A cooked cheesecake is a sweet dessert made from a mixture of cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and other ingredients. This delicious dessert is perfect for any occasion, from birthday parties to family dinners. It's creamy and rich, with a delicate flavor that makes it hard to resist. Plus, it's easy to make, so you don't have to be a master chef to whip up a tasty cheesecake. The key to a great cheesecake is to make sure all the ingredients are blended together well and the baking time is just right.
Ingredients
For the crust: 1 ½ cups of graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup of melted butter, and ¼ cup of sugar. For the filling: 2 packages of cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and ¼ cup of sour cream. For the topping: ½ cup of sour cream, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan with butter or cooking spray.
2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and ¼ cup of sugar. Mix until crumbs are evenly coated. Press crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 8 minutes, then remove from oven and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until just combined. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream. Pour into the prepared crust.
4. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until center is almost set. Remove from oven and cool for 15 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together sour cream, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Spread over cooled cheesecake.
6. Bake for another 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
Equipment
You will need a 9-inch springform pan, a medium bowl, a large bowl, a small bowl, a whisk or electric mixer, and a rubber spatula.
Notes
Make sure to use full-fat cream cheese for the best results. You can use light cream cheese, but the cheesecake may not be as rich. You can also use reduced-fat graham cracker crumbs for a healthier version. If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
